Dr Ken Gudmundsen
MBBS, FACD

Dr Ken Gudmundsen is a specialist dermatologist, Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, and founder of Lismore Skin Clinic. He has been providing specialist dermatology services to the Northern Rivers community for many years / since 2000.

Dr Gudmundsen completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales and subsequently undertook specialist training in the study of skin diseases / dermatology at the Mater Hospital in Dublin, St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, and the Skin and Cancer Foundation in Sydney

He has extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment and management of a wide range of skin, hair and nail conditions. He has a strong interest in both medical dermatology ( inflammatory skin conditions and complex dermatological disorders ) and skin cancer medicine ( the diagnosis and management of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers ). He is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care and works closely with patients to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes.

He holds appointments as visiting doctor at Lismore Base Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital, Lismore

Dr Gudmundsen has been actively involved in the education and mentoring of medical students, junior doctors and dermatology registrars throughout his career. He is passionate about supporting the next generation of medical practitioners.

Dr Charlotte Man
MBBS, MA (Oxon), FACD

Dr Charlotte Man is a specialist consultant dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, with a strong clinical and academic interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery.

After completing an undergraduate degree in Music at the University of Oxford, Dr Man undertook her medical training and residency at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. Since graduating in 2012, she has worked across regional and tertiary hospitals in Australia and overseas, including extensive experience in Emergency Medicine and paediatric training in Sydney.

Dr Man completed her specialist dermatology training throughout Queensland, including appointments at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Queensland Children’s Hospital, Cairns Base Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Mater Hospital Brisbane and the Queensland Institute of Dermatology.

She has extensive expertise in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, including the management of high-risk patients. Dr Man has also worked extensively in rural and remote dermatology outreach services, providing care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities throughout Queensland.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Man is actively involved in dermatology research, with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and a Visiting Medical Officer at Mater Hospital Brisbane.

Her areas of special interest include skin cancer medicine and surgery, acne, psoriasis, eczema, hair disorders, female genital dermatology and paediatric dermatology.

Dr Stephen Thomas
MBBS, FACD

Dr Stephen Thomas is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists who provides expert care across all aspects of medical dermatology.

He has a particular interest in skin cancer medicine, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and the management of complex inflammatory skin conditions. Stephen believes in a collaborative approach to patient care and is passionate about helping people understand their skin concerns while providing practical, evidence-based treatment options.

After hours Stephen can often be found playing basketball, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with his family.
